Albert Wood won a cap for England while at Halifax in 1884 against Ireland.[2]
When Halifax converted from the rugby union code to the rugby league code on the 27th August 1895, Albert Wood would have likely been in his thirties. Consequently, he may have been both a rugby union and rugby league footballer for Halifax.
